I’m somewhat obsessed with this location in Southeast Oregon. This is where hot springs bubble up to the playa surface of Oregon’s Alvord Desert in the shadow of Steens Mountain. The flat surface, high-speed winds, and scalding hot water creates these mesmerizing patterns as various minerals dissolve and get spread around. I love the rich natural colors and how the surface looks different every time I visit.

Next up in the Kaleidoscopic series, a dark mode abstraction made from an apartment building on Albert Embankment in London. The residential and mixed use complex, known as The Corniche, was designed by global architecture studio, Foster + Partners. The building was completed between 2017 and 2019.
